Long-time Edmonton Elks friend and employee Pam Monastyrskyj was an integral member of the Green and Gold for more than two decades. In 2005, she lost her long, hard-fought battle with ovarian cancer. Two years later, the Edmonton Elks Women’s Dinner was created in her memory to provide long-term, sustainable funding for researchers at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women through the creation of the Edmonton Elks Women's Ovarian Cancer Research Endowment.

The Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation applies a sustainability allocation of five percent (5%) to all restricted donations. The sustainability allocation enables our Foundation to recover costs associated with the processing and management of donations, the effective stewardship and recognition of our donors, and the provision of reports and other communication materials that tell the story of donor impact upon the hospital, its medical centres of excellence, and the patient care provided.
