Give A Breath 5K run/walk

Ken Kicks Cancer

I've made my pledge to Give A Breath to those affected by lung cancer.

Last November, a CT Scan for an aortic aneurysm revealed a tumour in my left lung which turned out to be Stage 2 lung cancer. In January I had a lobectomy followed by 4 rounds of chemotherapy. It wasn't an easy process, but with the support of family and friends and their endless prayers, a follow-up CT Scan showed no new tumours and no abnormalities with the lymph nodes. I don't need to see my thoracic surgeon again for 6 months. I, along with my family, are feeling very blessed.

On August 8, I am walking/running in the Give a Breath 5k walk/run because I want to help those affected by lung cancer. This cancer is on the rise. It's difficult to diagnose and treat and it's underfunded. I want to change that!
